1997  Lifetime Achievment Award from Xtra West , an LGBTTIQ  community newspaper.
2001  Designated as Queen’s Counsel. This honour is awarded by the Queen, through the Lieutenant Governor, her representative in British Columbia, to the most distinguished members of the legal profession.
2005  Award of Merit from the Sexual Diversity Studies Department at the University of Toronto.
2006  The Hero Award from SOGIC for my contribution to advancing rights for LGBTTIQ communities.
2010  Recognized by LEAF as “A lawyer who has made a difference for women and girls in Canada.
2013  Awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal.
2016  Rated ‘distinguished’ for 15 years by Martindale-Hubbell peer ranking system
2016  Cover of The Advocate, (Vol.74, Part 2), the publication of the Vancouver Bar Association, which accompanied by an article (link) about my legal career.
