In Quebec, France and Belgium, women have won full reproductive rights in the last few decades, but there is still very real social pressure to have children. What childless woman in her 30s hasn’t been judged by parents who “understand the meaning of life”? Magenta Baribeau looks at women who, like her, are challenging a model of happiness imposed unthinkingly by society. Patricia, Claudette, Mélissa and many more explain with wit and intelligence why their life choice should be considered a legitimate one. A refreshing film that defies taboo to engage in a discussion still rarely broached in the media, in tribute to every woman who has led a happy childless life.
