We have intentionally made the course accessible to non-lawyers: prospective parents, including queer parents; pregnancy workers, doulas, midwives, and others.
Hope to see you there!
Baby Making: Fertility Law and Assisted Reproductive Technologies
Special Pricing for Non-Lawyers | See below for details
Friday, April 8 | Pan Pacific Hotel, Vancouver or via Live Webinar
Did you know that there can be up to five parents on a child’s birth certificate in BC?
Did you know that if a child carried by a gestational carrier gives birth outside BC, the agreements she signed in BC may not apply?
How do agreements that people sign with fertility agencies relate to the contracts that are required under the law?
Anyone who works in the areas of pregnancy, fertility counselling, or reproductive planning will want to come to “Baby Making: Fertility Law and Assisted Reproductive Technologies” on Friday April 8, 2016.
Fertility Law BC, a group of BC lawyers who practise in this area, and the Continuing Legal Education Society of BC are jointly presenting this first-ever conference.
But it’s not only for lawyers.
The course is aimed at anyone involved in fertility issues, birth and post-birth support: doctors, nurses, pregnancy counsellors, midwives, doulas, and fertility counselors.
The goal of the day is for people involved with parenting by assisted human reproduction (and that’s everything from sperm donation to IVF) to understand how the law affects them as professionals, the intended parents, and anyone else involved!
Special non-lawyer pricing:
$310 (Early Bird Pricing)
$345 after March 18
